About Tarla Tours

Yousef started giving tours before he was old enough to call it a job. As a teenager in Morocco's Black Desert, he would meet visitors, point them toward the next stunning view, walk them partway, and then find his own way back home. He did it because he loved the country and he liked the people who came to see it. Eventually he figured out that this was a job, got licensed, and built a company.

Today Yousef owns Tarla Tours, and his brothers, cousins, and close friends all work together doing what he started as a kid: showing people the Morocco they grew up in. For Moroccans, and especially for Imazighen (Berbers), family is everything, and family is often large. When you book with Tarla, you are not hiring a company. You are joining a family that has dedicated itself to you for the length of your trip.

Yousef is the founder and the person you will speak with when you plan your trip. Ahmed, Mouloud, and Zahid are among the drivers and guides you will meet on the road.
